There is a variety of Pancit canton. We have a vegetarian pancit canton, instant pancit canton, seafood pancit canton, chicken pancit canton, pork pancit canton, and combination. Eating pancit canton with a squeeze of calamansi is the way to eat it. The sour taste of the citrus gives a kick to the dish.
Growing up as a Filipino-Chinese, pancit never left our table during important occasions. Its not like I’m complaining though. Pancit canton might be like any other noodle dish but the uniqueness of the flavors of the ingredients differentiates it from any other noodle dishes.
